The pieces in your Pleasure Playroom are investments — in your space, your comfort, and your experience. Proper care ensures longevity, maintains material integrity, and keeps every item performing at its best.

Genuine leather items — furniture, restraints, harnesses, and accessories — require regular conditioning to prevent drying and cracking:

• Wipe down with a clean, slightly damp cloth after each use — never saturate the leather
• Apply a leather conditioner every 3–6 months or more frequently in dry climates
• Store leather items away from direct sunlight and heat sources
• For light stains, use a leather-specific cleaner — avoid household cleaners, alcohol, or bleach
• Hang whips and floggers to preserve their shape — never store tightly coiled for extended periods

Stainless steel, chrome, and powder-coated metals require minimal maintenance but benefit from occasional attention:

• Wipe down with a clean dry cloth after use to prevent moisture buildup
• For stainless steel: a light application of mineral oil prevents water spotting
• Inspect all hardware — screws, carabiners, D-rings, and snap hooks — before each use for wear or loosening
• Re-tighten any loose screws or bolts immediately — do not use equipment with compromised hardware
• Chrome finishes can be polished with a microfiber cloth and chrome-safe polish

Velvet, satin, and specialty upholstery require gentle handling:

• Spot-clean upholstered items with a damp cloth and upholstery-appropriate cleaner
• Vacuum velvet surfaces with a soft brush attachment — never rub against the pile direction
• Removable covers should be machine washed on a delicate cycle in cold water unless the label states otherwise
• Air dry all specialty fabrics — avoid tumble drying which can shrink or damage pile fabrics
• Store cushions and textile accessories in breathable fabric bags, not plastic

Solid wood furniture and equipment maintains its beauty with simple routine care:

• Dust regularly with a soft microfiber cloth
• Apply furniture wax or wood conditioner every 6–12 months depending on use
• Avoid placing wood furniture in direct sunlight or near heating vents — both cause warping and fading
• For scratches, a wood touch-up marker in a matching tone can be used for minor surface marks
• Check and tighten all bolts and structural connections quarterly, especially on bondage furniture

For silicone and other intimate-use items in our Discreet Adult Essentials collection:

• Clean before and after every use with a toy-specific cleaner or mild unscented soap and warm water
• Non-motorized solid silicone items can be boiled, run through a dishwasher (top rack, no detergent), or wiped with a 10% bleach solution for sterilization
• Never use silicone lubricant with silicone items — use water-based lubricant only
• Store in a clean, dry pouch or case — keep silicone items separated to prevent material transfer

How you store your collection is as important as how you clean it:

• Store all items in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight
